Al Anaka (CKLG, CJOR, CKNW, CHQR) passes at 85

Longtime radio sales guy, Al Anaka passed away on January 14th at age 85. He was GSM at CKLG Vancouver from the mid 60's to mid 70's. He spent a few years in the same capacity at CJOR before making the move to CKNW in the late 1970's.

In 1984 he moved to Calgary where he was GSM at CHQR for several years. In the early 1990's, he became President and GM at CHQR replacing Rod Gunn who returned to CKNW as President and GM. Al left CHQR and returned to CKNW as Sales Manager in the late 1990's until his retirement in 2000.
